The Component Selection List allows for the selection of presentation objects from a list. The Component Selection List provides several useful capabilities.
Displays all objects on the current panel, in the order they are drawn
Selection of one or more objects directly from the list (useful when objects are difficult to select, or are very numerous)
Naming of components, for quick identification
Temporarily Show/Hide selected components, to make editing easier
Reordering objects by clicking and dragging the selection
Deleting selected components
How to use
Selection - Click any item in the list to select it, and the object it corresponds to (Hold Ctrl while clicking to select multiple)
Show/Hide - Click the eye icon to hide all selected objects. Hidden components will have an eye with a red circle and line through it. To show a hidden object simply click the eye again.
Rename Objects - Click in the text-box next to the thumbnail to change the name of the object. Changing the name has no effect on the appearance of most objects.
Reorder Objects - To change the ordering of objects on the panel (which one appears on top of the other), you must select one or more components. Once you have selection, simply click and drag the components up or down the list. A black line will indicate where the objects will be placed once you release the mouse.
Deleting Objects - To delete all selected components, press the delete key, just as if you had selected them from the canvas.
