From the Start Point to the End Point, this gradient blends in a linear pattern from the Start Color to the End Color.
Select a color from the Color Picker by clicking on the colored box next to Start Color or End Color, or by entering the hexadecimal value in the text box. You can also be adjust the transparency of the color with the slider to the left of the text box.
While this gradient will always stick to the linear blending, you can alter the appearance of it by changing the Pattern and manipulating the Start Point and End Point. The No Cycle pattern provides a single blending from the Start Color to the End Color along the angle created by the values of the Start Point and End Point. The Reflect pattern creates multiple linear gradients alternating between Start-Color-to-End-Color and End-Color-to-Start-Color, with the number of gradients shown determined by the distance between the Start Point and the End Point. The Repeat pattern creates multiple linear gradients, each going from Start Color to End Color, along the angle created by the Start Point and End Point values.
The Start Point and End Point values determine the angle of the gradient. Point (0,0), which is the default value for the Start Point, is the top-left corner of the object. Point (1,1), the default value for the End Point, is the bottom-right corner, which is one over and one down from Point (0,0). Distances in between can be specified in decimals down to the 1/1000th. Negative values place a Start Point or End Point in a position that will not be displayed but will be referenced in the formation of the gradient. When utilizing a pattern, the distance between the points will determine the number of repetitions of the gradient.
