Presentation Properties

Presentations are designed to adapt to varying display sizes and resolutions. Use these settings to control how they adapt. To access them, make sure no object is selected by clicking on any unused area of the canvas, which is the work space you are using to design your presentation. The settings will be located in the right-hand frame and they apply to every display panel and every object in a presentation.

Fit To Window, Keep Native Size, and Starts Full Screen

If you are running the presentation in a window and you resize that window, the Fit To Window option tells the presentation to automatically stretch or shrink to the new size. It does maintain the aspect ratio of the presentation's Native Size.

To keep the presentation from running at any resolution other than Native Size, enable Keep Native Size.

Starts Full Screen tells the presentation to open using the full screen and not a window.

Zoom Allowed

To use the wheel on a mouse to zoom in and out while in a presentation, enable Zoom Allowed.

Maximum Size, Minimum Size, and Native Size

Maximum Size is the highest resolution up to which the presentation can be scaled. Because pixelation occurs when graphics are enlarged, Maximum Size can limit the presentation so that it does not become too pixelated and unusable.

Minimum Size is the smallest resolution down to which the presentation can be scaled. You can utilize this to keep the presentation from being run at a size where the text is too small to read.

The resolution in which the presentation is actually designed is the Native Size. It will scale up to higher resolutions or scale down to lower resolutions. If you wish to avoid artefacts and pixelation, it is best to set the Native Size to the resolution at which the presentation will usually run.

Resume Interval

When the Presentation Type is set to Slide Show, Resume Interval allows you to specify in seconds when to automatically resume the slide show if it has been manually paused.

Server Polling Interval

How often do you want the presentation to check with the Vantage Point Server for updates on the live data the presentation is receiving from it? You can specify this in seconds with the Server Polling Interval setting.

Slide Interval

The Slide Interval tells the presentation how long, in seconds, to display a slide before switching to the next one when it is running in Slide Show mode.

Presentation Type

By selecting Slide Show as the Presentation Type, the presentation will automatically advance through the available display panels at the rate specified by the Slide Interval, returning to the first slide after displaying the last slide. With the Front End option, a user must manually navigate from display panel to display panel using Navigation Hot Spots placed on each display panel.
