The Image Set object displays a specified image based upon the returned value of the data point linked to it. Typically it is used for a data point that returns a limited number of values, such as on/off.
This setting is where you link the Image Set object to a specific Data Point. Clicking on the red Link button will open the Point Manager window, from which you will select the specific data point you need. Once you have linked to the data point, its last known value will display in the in the Data Point text box.
Background Properties
The Pending Color appears only while the presentation is retrieving the value of the data point. The default color is yellow but if you wish to change it click on the colored text box to the left of Pending Color to access the Color Picker or enter a hexadecimal value into the text box to the right of Pending Color. You can also be adjust the transparency of the color with the slider to the left of the text box.
Fit Mode determines how the images will display in the Image Set object. Stretch-to-Fit, which is the default, stretches (or shrinks) an image to fit the size of the object without regard to the image's aspect ratio. Native Size displays the image at its native size if the image is smaller than the object but will shrink the image to fit the object while maintaining the aspect ratio if the image is larger than the object. Keep Aspect maintains the image's aspect ration while shrinking or enlarging the image to fit the size of the object, generally leaving white space on either the top and bottom or the sides.
Selection Mode tells the presentation what to do when it receives a value from the data point that has not been specifically designated in the Background Properties. Wrap, Clamp, and Alarm (default) are the options. When the presentation receives a value that cannot be reconciled, it displays the Alarm Image. To designate an alarm image, enter the desired image's location into the text box or navigate to it by clicking on the ellipsis box.
With the Wrap option, the presentation continuously assigns values an image by rotating through the available images. Consider the table below, with three assigned values and images (0, 1, and 2):
Image 0

When you select Clamp, the presentation will show the image which has the closest value to the value received from the data point. So if the value returned is greater than the highest value it will display the image assigned to the highest value. Conversely, if the value returned is less than the lowest value, it will display the image assigned to the lowest value.
The Alarm option allows only the values specified. When the presentation receives a value not listed in the Background Properties, it displays the Alarm Image.
You are given the option of two images to display but can add more by right-clicking next to the Images label and selecting Insert. The individual images are labelled 0 and 1, which are their assigned values. Subsequent images are consecutively ;numbered and all values received from the data point are rounded down to the nearest whole number. To designate an image, enter the desired image's location into the text box or navigate to it by clicking on the ellipsis box.
